This weekend on Florida’s Space Coast is all about festivals!
Friday night kicks off with two street festivals hosted by the City of Titusville and Melbourne Mainstreet. The Downtown Titusville Street Party and Friday Family Fest in Dowtown Melbourne are family friendly and free! If you go, you can expect live music, plenty of food vendors and a kid’s zone.
On Saturday, the festivities continue with the 2015 Indian River Festival and Brevard Zoo’s Party for the Planet. The Indian River Festival is celebrating it’s 38th anniversary and will feature live music, arts and crafts, local seafood, and an assortment of activities and exhibits relating to outdoor recreation, health and fitness, local history and cultural assets. Go kayaking, fly a kite or cheer on a rubber duck in the Great Brevard Duck Race which benefits Crosswinds Youth Services. More conservation minded? Head to the Brevard Zoo for a celebration of the planet. Learn about the conservation programs the Zoo supports and ways to get involved, play games and make gifts for four-legged critters. Watch as zookeepers give enrichment gifts to the animals, enjoy music and meet Rob and Jonny from “The Rob & Jonny Show”. Arrive early for cupcakes at noon. Party for the Planet is free with Zoo admission.
