Spark a child’s interest in conservation, wildlife, science and the outdoors by enrolling them in a summer camp at Brevard Zoo. Camps run June 3 through August 7, and the Zoo offers a variety of options to choose from including half- and full-day camps; art camps; one, three-day camp; and several 5-day camps.
Campers will play, build, discover and explore the world around them as these one-of-a-kind adventures take their learning to new heights at a Zoo that is nationally recognized for its education programs.
There are four, half-day and five, full-day camps available to children entering first through sixth grade in the upcoming 2015/16 school year. Also available for those in first through sixth grade are two Art Camps, which focus on learning about Zoo animals through art and are available for two weeks only, June 22 to 26 and July 27 to 31. Art Camps are sponsored in part by the Brevard County Community Cultural Grant program through Brevard Cultural Alliance. Finally, Earth Explorers is designed for those entering seventh to ninth grade in the upcoming 2015/16 school year . These two different camps explore not just Brevard Zoo, but also take campers off property to learn about the fascinating wonders of Central Florida.
Early bird discounts are available now through April 10. Zoo members receive $20 off all full-day camps and $10 off all half-day camps. Non-members receive $10 off full-day and $5 off half-day camps.
Class sizes consist of approximately 24 kids, and counselors are Zoo education staff and/or certified Brevard County teachers. For more information and to register, visit BrevardZoo.org and click on Learn & Play or call 321.254.9453 ext. 219.
