Weekend Picks: Chowder Fest, Brews and Tunes & Que, First Friday Fun, Pioneer Day and More!

A little chilly on the Space Coast this week, but the weekend is looking to be lovely with 70 degree weather. So we suggest you take advantage of the warmer temperatures and get out and enjoy everything our coast has to offer!

The weekend kicks off with the opening of an exciting three-day exhibit of SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft at Kennedy Space Center’s Visitor Complex and continues late into the evening with the 30th Annual Chowder Cook-Off with a Twist in Port Canaveral, and First Friday Festivities in Cape Canaveral and Eau Gallie Arts District. These community-centered events bring after-hour gallery openings, movies in the park, food trucks, and live music.

On Saturday Space Coast Harley Davidson will host their annual Winterfest Car & Bike Show.  You’ll drool over cars, bikes, and trucks of every year, make, and model. Into history? You should make a stop by Sams House for their popular Pioneer Day or Eau Gallie Arts District’s Founder’s Day Fish Fry. Both events celebrate their communities roots. A self-described foodie? Grab a couple of fans and head up to the north end of the county for Brews and Tunes and Que hosted by Playalinda Brewing Company and Reel Pit BBQ.

Things don’t slow down or get any less exciting on Sunday as Space X closes out the weekend with an evening launch (6:10pm EDT) of a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

Whatever you decide to do on our coast, there’s plenty to do to suit any taste or interest!
