Astronaut Experiences Go Up For Bid To Help Charity

The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation has opened bids for their annual charity auction and like always they are offering once-in-a-lifetime opportunities with legendary cosmonauts from the U.S. Space Program.

The auction coincides with the Astronaut Autograph and Memorabilia Show November 6-9th at Cocoa Beach Hilton Oceanfront. This year’s auction will feature five Astronaut Experiences, including a private helicopter ride over the Space Coast and Kennedy Space Center Tour space Shuttle astronaut Mike McCulley and a classroom visit from Apollo 13 astronaut Fred Haise.Besides the experiences, there are also 29 auction lots are up for grabs, including an Apollo 13 G&N Dictionary Page Signed by Jim Lovell and Fred Haise; a STS-41F Multi-Signed Mission Chart; and a STS-6 FLOWN Activity Page Signed by Weitz.

This year, ASF’s signature Astronaut Experiences will be featured on BiddingForGood.com. Bidding on memorabilia is separate and requires you to register with the Astronaut Foundation. The online auction concludes November 8, 2014 at 9:30 p.m. EDT. Winning bids, over fair market value, should be considered a charitable donation.
