This coming Labor Day weekend, P1 SuperStock teams and riders will continue their racing circuit ,in their quest for the world championships, on Florida’s Space Coast. Powerboat P1 is the fastest growing marine motorsport series in the world and is raced at a national level, with the winners qualifying for the right to race in the Continental and World Championship, with the inaugural World Championship to be held in 2015.
The SuperStock race courses are close to shore, tight and fast, making it a great spectacle for the public and equally demanding on the drivers and navigators. P1 SuperStock events are currently held in the USA and venues around the UK. Up to three races are held over a race weekend lasting around 20 minutes each.
Not only will Florida’s Space Coast host the next stop in the P1 SuperStock circuit, but there’s also a team boat driven by Lee Baker and Sandy Kenigsman. The pair are currently in third place in race standings.
