Celebrate America’s Birthday at the beach! You won’t be disappointed if you choose Florida’s Space Coast as your place to mark our country’s independence. Our area falls all in with not one but seven firework celebrations spread out over three days.
Smoke on the Water & Fire in the Sky
Thursday, July 3rd Fireworks: Estimated to begin around 9:00 p.m. This three-day event kicks off at the Cove at Port Canaveral with the show over the harbor. Restaurants will be open to feed the hungry and thirsty.
Thursday, July 4th Fireworks: Estimated to begin around 9:00 p.m. On day two, the crowds move to Cocoa Village’s Riverfront Park where the Cities of Cocoa and Rockledge have come together to host a firework display accompanied by a free patriotic concert performed by the Brevard Symphony Orchestra.
Saturday, July 5th Fireworks: Estimated to begin around 9:00 p.m. On 4th of July, the celebration continues beachside (Cocoa Beach) with a celebration over the Atlantic ocean.
Getting Around & Questions
Expect large crowds, but parking and getting around isn’t a problem and in most cases its free. In Melbourne, the city is providing shuttle transportation between the Melbourne Auditorium and Front Street Park.

July 4th City of Melbourne’s Independence Day Parade & Fireworks Fireworks display at 9 p.m. at Claude Edge Front Street Park, 2210 Front Street, just north of the Melbourne Causeway overlooking the Indian River Lagoon. Parking is limited in the vicinity of the park, a free shuttle bus service is to operate between the Melbourne Auditorium and Front Street Park beginning at 7:10 p.m. The city co-sponsors an Independence Parade & Firecracker 5K with Honor America Liberty Bell Museum sponsors both events. The Firecracker 5k race begins at 7am in Downtown Melbourne. The parade follows at 10am and will wind its way down E. New Haven Avenue.
Splashes and Sparks – Palm Bay July 4th Family friendly free event featuring live music, great food, kid’s patriotic bike parade, bounce houses, water slides and fireworks display starting at 9pm at BCC-Palm Bay Campus.
Red, White and Boom – Sand Point Park in Titusville, Florida Fireworks and block party. Fireworks begin at 9:00pm.
Brevard Manatees will host postgame fireworks on both Saturday and Sunday. Game tickets start at $6 per person.
Viera will host the 20th Great American Celebration a firework display along with a Great American Concert on Saturday, July 5th. The night will include a Brevard County Manatees baseball game, fireworks display, a concert by famous singer/songwriter Phil Vassar, CampusPrivate Berm Party and an all-you-can-eat BBQ.
