The weekend is going to be hectic on Florida’s Space Coast as several events and grand openings are scheduled to begin on Friday.
In its fifth year, the Brevard County Fair slated for March 21-30 will take over Wickham Park in Melbourne, This family-friendly event is a country fair in the most traditional sense. Fair goers are treated to agricultural exhibits, live entertainment, a carnival midway and food. Tickets are $10 on weekdays, $12 on weekends and children under 36 are free.
As it didn’t have enough fun going on, Wickham Park will play host to the third annual Runaway Country Music Festival from March 22 through the 24. This four-day musical event will feature an all-star lineup of musical artists: Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Charlie Daniels Band, Sarah Evans will join Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, The Farm, Billy Currington, Colt Ford, LoCash Cowboys, Parmalee, Tom Jackson, Jill’s Cashbox, The Lacs and Tobacco Rd Band.

While the southern part of the county will virtually rock this weekend, the northern part is flying high as well. For the first time anywhere, Angry Birds are jumping off the computer screen and becoming an interactive exhibit at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
Comprised of seven interactive exhibits, the Angry Birds Space Encounter will include
a Danger Zone maze, Red Planet Laser Challenge, Build an Angry Bird Zone, Cold Cuts Tile Puzzle, Eggsteroid Slignshot and more. Admission into the Angry Birds Space Encounter is included in Kennedy Space Center’s regular admission.
The Tico Tico Warbird Air Show will fly high this weekend. In its 36th year, this popular
air show will pay
tribute to the 70th Anniversary of Robert Morgan and his crew of the Memphis Belle making their 25th mission and getting to go home. Kennedy Space Center is partnering with the air show to prevent The Ultimate Aviation Combo, which includes admission to the air show and Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
