The second concert in the BSO’s 2012/13 Subscription Concert Season will feature works by Chabrier, Lalo, and Tchaikovsky. Virtuoso violinist Karen Gomyo returns and is the featured guest artist for Edouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole.
“I’m delighted to welcome violinist Karen Gomyo back to the King Center stage for another spectacular performance with the BSO,” said Music Director and Principal Conductor Christopher Confessore, “Karen is a phenomenal artist and a wonderful collaborator. She gave a thrilling performance with the BSO in April of 2011 – a performance that inspired everyone onstage and in the audience. We look forward to another electrifying performance from Karen and the BSO!”
The evening will begin with Emmanuel Chabrier’s Habanera and conclude with two tone poems by Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky, Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture and Capriccio Italien. Tickets and program notes for this performance are available online at www.BrevardSymphony.com. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the King Center Box Office at (321) 242-2219.
