The deadline to sign-up to be picked for NASA’s two-day launch Tweetup for the launch of the twin lunar-bound GRAIL spacecraft is only one day away!
According to a recent press release NASA will continue its popular Tweetups on September 7-8 when they host 150 randomly picked Tweeters for the upcoming Grail Moon Mission, which will launch with the Delta II rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
The two GRAIL spacecraft will fly around the moon for several months to measure the moon’s gravity field from core to crust and answer longstanding questions about the moon and provide scientists with a better understanding of how Earth and other rocky planets in the solar system formed.
Besides the launch the Tweetup will also feature a tour of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, meetings with scientists and engineers from GRAIL and other upcoming missions.
Tweetup registration opens at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, and closes at noon on Thursday, July 28. To register visit: http://www.nasa.gov/tweetup
