Alex Rodriguez from Miami was part of the thousands of people who are in Brevard County for the Runaway Country Music Festival Saturday night.

Rodriguez said he could not miss this concert.

“Beautiful weather, great singers, hanging out with friends, some tailgating… It’s great to get away from all the hustle and bustle of Miami and get down to the nice town. It’s great,” he said.

The main organizer, Gary McCann said there were 6,500 people who came out Friday night and he expected more people to show up Saturday night.

McCann said for the most part the concert was running smoothly, however there were a few problems reported.
