Melbourne’s Wickham Park: Festival Central!

Wickham Park is a 400-acre 391.04-acre regional park located in Melbourne, FL. Due to its sheer size and scor of amenities that includes two lakes, camping sites, a dog park, horse trails, and a large event pavilion, Wickham Park is a popular destination for events and festivals. And in the next couple of months, Wickham Park will see it’s share of them with the 23rd Annual Strawberry Festival and IndiaFest 2011.

Hosted by Habitat for Humanity of Brevard County, Inc., the 23rd Annual Strawberry Festival will bring a basket full of home grown sweetness to Wickham Park the first weekend in March.  And as you can probably guess whether it’s short caked, chocolate dipped, ice blended, sliced, fried or funnel caked, strawberries will the celebrated fruit!

The weekend will also include a Car & Bike Show, Arts & Craft Show, and a Music Festival and 5 K run to take place on Sunday.

All proceeds from the 23rd Annual Strawberry Festival will benefit the Habitat for Humanity of Brevard County, Inc., who builds houses in partnership with low-income families with help from the community.


Attended by thousands of people every year, Indiafest 2011 is a cultural explosion that will bring a taste of India to Florida’s Space Coast!

In it’s fifteenth year, Indiafest has not only become an eagerly awaited event, but it has gained quite a reputation around the state of Florida. Supported by many local, regional and national sponsors, it draws vendors from all over the state and as far as Atlanta, GA, Chicago and California.

Indiafest will be held from March 12-13, 2011. This year’s theme will be “Cultural Weddings of India”. Expect fashion shows, live music, henna art, exhibits and great food!
