Readers of Florida Monthly Magazine have named Port Canaveral as Florida’s Top seaport. For the ninth consecutive year, Port Canaveral has snagged this top prize from 13 other deepwater ports around the state. Results were tabulated after readers were able to nominate and vote in 139 categories.
Port Canaveral is among the busiest cruise ports in the world with four million passengers passing through every year. And no wonder with cruises that appeal to many tastes from 3-, 4-, or 7-day voyages to the Bahamas, the eastern Caribbean or Mexico’s Gulf resorts on homeported ships from Carnival Cruise Lines, Disney Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International.
But it’s not all about the product at Port Canaveral, but customer service as well.
“Our goal at Port Canaveral is to provide the best customer service, whether you are here visiting for business or pleasure,” says Tom Goodson, Chairman of the Canaveral Port Authority Board of Commissioners. “This recognition means that we are achieving that goal.”
“Our goal is to remain Florida’s top port for years to come,” adds Port Canaveral CEO Stan Payne. “It is an honor we very much appreciate.”
And with personnel fully committed to customers and visitors alike, Port Canaveral will top more lists in the future!
