Holidays in Full Swing at Brevard Zoo

What would you give a giraffe for Christmas?

That question will be answered this holiday as the Brevard Zoo, 3865 N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne, Florida, celebrates the season with a full calendar of events for the entire family!

And get this, some of the Zoo’s daytime and evening events don’t require adult supervision, which gives mom and dad the perfect opportunity to get the house ready for the holidays!

One such event is the Zoo’s Holiday Shopping Extravaganza Night Hikes scheduled for December 4 and 18.  While you shop or just relax at home, the kids will enjoy a pizza dinner, take a night hike safari through the Zoo and make a craft for under the tree.

The Zoo is also offering a 4-Day Winter Break Camp
manned by Zoo staff who will supervise four fun-filled days where campers will be given the opportunity to explore a different continent and the habitats of the zoo’s residents.  Expect animal encounters, games, and arts and crafts.

From December 20-23, the zoo will host Gifts to the Animals. This daily event is a special treat for the zoos 550 residents.  In addition, the zoo will also host Santa and Mrs. Claus from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day and provide games and crafts for the kids.

To round out the holiday season, the Zoo will host a New Year’s Eve Twilight Spectacular just for kidsWhile adults ring in the new year out on the town, children will enjoy a “Wild and Crazy” night with Zoo staffers and some of the animals.

All of the Zoo’s events have limited space so registration is required in advance!  Call 321.254.9453 x 219 or email edregistrar@brevardzoo.org to reserve your spot.
