Florida Space Coast Falls For the Arts Once Again!

fallfortheartsFall for the Arts, last year’s popular immersion into the Space Coast’s  prolific arts & cultural scene, has garnered another date on this Fall’s social scene!

The brain child of the Brevard Cultural Alliance, Fall for the Arts is a celebration and public showcase of the Florida Space Coast’s upcoming arts and cultural season, exhibitions, festivals and events.  Scheduled for Friday, September 24 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Fall for the Arts street party will take over the heart of the Eau Gallie Arts District which stetches most of Highland Avenue in downtown historic Eau Gallie, FL.

As part of this event, sixty-eight (68) arts and cultural groups from throughout the Space Coast will come together to present highlights of their upcoming seasons with theatre, music, dance, visual arts, and demonstrations with approximately 20 performing groups expected to perform on two stages. Featured performances will include ballet, classical and pops music, modern dance, harmonizers, storytellers, a brass quintet, animal encounters, and much more.

Other highlights include a A Kid’s Culture Corner that will feature storytellers, a musical instrument petting zoo hosted by the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra, an art activity presented by the Melbourne Art Festival, and face painting by the Henegar Center all located in the Eau Gallie Square.

I went to the inaugural event last year and my senses were overloaded with all the community involvement and cultural offerings on display.  This event is FREE again this year and appropriate for all ages.
