Looking for a riverfront romantic getaway on Florida’s Space Coast? Opening July 3rd is the Parrish Grove Inn located in Historic Cocoa Village. This bed and breakfast boasts 5 beautiful guestrooms all with full private bathrooms. The house, which dates back to 1890, has been transported from its original location to Delannoy Ave. on the Indian River and has undergone two years of renovations. Parish Grove Inn is the only B&B located within the city of Cocoa and offers a fully accessible downstairs guestroom in addition to the four located on the second story. A passion project for owner Henry Parrish III and manager Gail Dedoes, this breathtakingly decorated inn offers rooms from $125 to $250 per night. Each room has a unique décor and features satellite TV, a private restroom and a King or Queen sized bed. The porch offers guests all the charm of southern living. A table for sipping pink lemonade and enjoying conversations with friends as well as a cozy couch to enjoy the view of Cocoa Village.

Stepping into the Parrish Grove Inn immediately whisks you away to yesteryear with a mix of antique pieces and art. The foyer offers plenty of sitting room with pieces from Indian River Furniture. The banister is an original from the house’s 1890 construction

This B&B offers two dining spaces. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the main dining room with each other or chose the more intimate dining table for a quiet morning.

Located on the first floor, The Parrish Grove Inn offers a charming handicap accessible room equipped with a queen sized bed, antique chair and access to the back patio.

As you ascend the stairs to the second floor you are greeted by two more lavish guestrooms.

One of the larger guest rooms, this space is equipped with a king sized bed and plenty of space for a weekend getaway.

The Parrish Grove Inn is hosting a reception in honor of their opening tomorrow, July 3rd, and will feature light hors d’oeuvres and live music. The inn is located at 536 Delannoy Avenue in Cocoa Village. The recption lasts from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

    Years back the City of Cocoa had a mayor named Judy Parrish. At that time she was married to Henry Parrrish. While Judy was mayor, she was successful in a park proposal. The park is the one where Riverside Drive came out onto 520. Did the building of the park benefit the City of Cocoa or her and Henry Parrish. Where members of the Council aware that Judy and Henry had real estate interests on Riverside Drive? What efffect do you suppose closing off Riverside Drive to thru traffic had on their real estate holdings then and now? Is it worth the effort to find out?
