Bed & Breakfast Makes Top Romantic Inn

One of the web’s top sources for bed & breakfast information recently announced their most distinguished award “Top 10 Romantic Inns” for 2009 from a database containing more than 19,000 bed and breakfasts from around the country. And Port d’ Hiver, a local bed and breakfast located at 201 Ocean Avenue in Melbourne Beach, was one of the lucky few designated with this honor!

According to ILoveInns website, the criteria for their “Top 10” was “for overall romantic attributes–scenic setting and location, interior beauty and design, subtle yet personable hospitality, pampering amenities and creative activities.”

Built in 1916, Port d’ Hiver seemed like an easy choice.  Only steps aways from the Atlantic Ocean, this oceanfront property bills itself as a retreat featuring four island-style buildings surrounded by tropical landscaping with winding brick walkways, a spa pool, a concierge, robes, evening turndown service and breakfast served every morning on your private porch.  Room rates begin at $200 a night special romance packages are in addition.
