Brevard County Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) Program celebrates National Trails Day with special guided hikes at four sanctuaries in May and June.
The free Saturday morning hikes will be led by EEL land managers and highlight the work being done to protect and preserve the biodiversity of county natural lands.
Visitors can join guided hikes scheduled for 9 a.m. and hikes will last approximately 90 minutes. Staff will also be stationed at the trailhead from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to provide information for visitors who do not want to hike or who want to explore the trails on their own. Walking shoes, water, sunscreen and insect repellant are advisable.
