Mystery of the Runaway Rainwater (for kids)

The Brevard Zoo’s new website, lagoonadventures.org, has posted its April Mystery!  And this month you can help Izzy the InvestiGator solve a mystery about the sudden increase in green algae bloom at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary in Titusville.  Of course, everyone wants plant life to thrive, but if green algae gets out of hand in the Indian River Lagoon they can block sunlight to sea grass which is the local manatees food!

Lagoonadventures.org encourages families to get out and experience the Indian River Lagoon as well as the many additional natural resources available in Brevard County. As an incentive to get out there and have fun, Lagoonadventures.org features monthly nature mysteries families can only solve by visiting sites up and down the Indian River Lagoon. Participants can win prizes on a monthly basis and a grand prize at the end. To learn more, visit www.lagoonadventures.org.
