The Brevard Zoo recently opened an interactive exhibit for kids of all ages this past weekend! The new exhibit, Paws on Play, is touted as a funararium that provides zoo patrons to build a fort, enoy waterplay, view an aquarium, and pet animals in a newly installed petting zoo.
Paws On Play has five distinct “play” areas. Indian River Play Lagoon which is splash area running alongside the zoo’s brand new 20,000 gallon aquarium featuring animals found in the Indian River Lagoon. Play is for children of all ages. And several features include a dump trunk, a bubbling manatee, a mangrove forest and spoil island…

Paws On Petting Zone and Wildlife Detective Training Academy allows kids to touch the animals in the new petting area featuring armadillos, pygmy goats, and alpacas. In addition to caring for plush patients in a pretend vet lab and solving animal mysteries involving real animal artifacts.
The Brevard Zoo is located at 8225 N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne, FL. Tickets are $12.50 for adults, $9.50 for children 2-12 and free for children under 2.
