The holiday season is coming on really thick already. My favorite radio station Sunny 105.9 is already playing Christmas music around the clock. Although its rather nice, it’s sort of strange since we have six weeks until the big day.
Anyhoo, to start the holiday season off with a big bang, this past Saturday, I attended the 15th Annual Festival of Craft in Fox Lake Park in Titusville. Even though I’m a native of the Space Coast, I have never gone to this event which draws hundreds of artisans hawking their holiday wares and the thousands of visitors who happily begin their holiday shopping! Here’s a link to the video of my day:
I guess I’ll continue my holiday overload with the The Annual Tree lighting & Space Coast Boat Parade which will take place this coming Saturday, November 22 from 5pm-9:30 p.m. in Riverfront Park, Cocoa Village, the event will feature pictures with Parkchester Santa, children’s rides and activities, a showing of the Christmas movie “Christmas Shoes” and even a live band for the adults. Admission is free for all!
The Boat Parade which I always look forward to since its rather beautiful to see the Christmas lights twinkling on the boats and reflected in the water. As in year’s past, the parade attracts several dozen local boat enthusiast who doll up their schooners and hit the Indian River. This year, the parade will be led by the Indian River Queen and will begin at 6 p.m. Bring blankets and lawn chairs if you plan on attending, because its usually a good forty-five minutes to an hour to see all of the boats!
