FLORIDA’S SPACE COAST PLAYS HOST TO A 3-DAY ELVIS THEMED MUSIC FESTIVAL
Florida’s Space Coast and Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. will sponsor the region’s first-ever Elvis-themed festival, “Elvis Has Landed.” which is slated for the month of October to pay tribute to the man who started it all, Elvis Presley, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
The highlight of the three-day festival will be an Elvis tribute artist contest in which Elvis tribute artists from around the United States and Canada will give up-close and personal Elvis-inspired performances starting Friday, October 17, 2008, kicking off the first round of competition with the final round of competition and awards ceremony wrapping up on Sunday, October 19.
A variety of other events are scheduled as well as main stage concerts, fashion shows, pet look alikes, Kidz Zone entertainment area, and a vendor pavillion, which will feature long lost Elvis LPs to retrohome fixtures and furnishings. The Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, 1550 N Highway A1A in Cocoa Beach has been named as the sponsor hotel and additional event and entertainment announcements are expected in the coming months, so check back frequently for updates or go to www.elvishaslanded.com.
